Cyra wonders if Akos was given a Shotet name intentionally early in the first book. He is a loving person though, that would die to protect everyone he loves.Īkos, the second son of Lazmet and Ylira, was switched with Cyra- the girl he fell in love with, they have no kind of kinship-, the third child of the Kereseth family when they were newborns.Īkos was the name of a religious leader who killed himself rather than dishonor the current by holding a currentblade. While reading the book, the reader finds out that he is really sensitive, a person that grew up faster than he was supposed to, under a lot of pressure with a lot of gaps in his childhood and in love of all kinds. He also seems to be such a calm person in his daily life, even if sometimes he acts recklessly. He speaks the Shotet language fluently, though he was never taught how (Shotet language is learned by Shotet blood ancestry). He does not enjoy killing or hurting others, though he grows quite adept at fighting throughout the course of the book. Akos is very loyal to his family and has a strong sense of justice.
